Instead of just telling Dexter what he can do next time to improve his work, he is more or less told that he is incompetent, bumbling, and sloppy.

I must admit that when I sat down to watch this 1997 movie titled "Good Burger" I wasn't really having much of any high expectations or hopes for the movie. But still, it being a movie that I hadn't already seen was sufficient to make me give the movie a chance. While they weren't exactly the typical supervillains fans had gotten used to seeing in the likes of the MCU, the audience still felt the same amount of joy at their failures.
On the first day of summer, slacker high school student Dexter Reed takes his mother's car on a joyride while she is away on a business trip but is unintentionally involved in a car crash with his school teacher, Mr. Wheat. With no driver's license or car insurance, Dexter is in danger of going to jail, but Mr. Wheat agrees to let him pay for the damage in exchange for not calling the police on him. With the damage estimated at $1,900 (which later becomes $2,500), Dexter decides to take a summer job to pay for the expenses. After being fired from the new and soon-to-open Mondo Burger restaurant for clashing with the owner and manager, Kurt Bozwell, he ends up working for Good Burger instead. There, he meets and reluctantly befriends the dimwitted, slightly nutty, and absent-minded cashier Ed alongside its other employees. Initially, neither of them is aware that Ed inadvertently caused Dexter's car crash; Ed had rollerbladed in front of Dexter while making a delivery, causing him to swerve and crash into Mr. Wheat's car.
What results is a hilarious moment where Ed literally tackles this poor old woman to the ground to save her life and soon after gets cheered on by Dexter. It's awkward for all characters considering the workers aren't aware of the context, but works effectively for the movie since it relies on cringe-comedy sometimes. One of the best things about Good Burgeris the hilarious and oftentimes oblivious Ed. So don't let the light-hearted nature of this movie stop you from seeing it. You'll get some laughs out of it, like I did, but you'll find that it's a fun movie.
After being filmed from March to April 1997, it was released worldwide on July 25, 1997, by Paramount Pictures. It's even worse when a movie is based off of a skit from Saturday Night Live. So it's no wonder people were less than inviting when Good Burger came about, a movie based off of a skit from a kids version of SNL that airs on Nickelodeon. Seeing as I used to be a big fan of All That, I decided to give Good Burger another go-round, to see if its juvenile humor still stood up throughout the years. Dexter Reed crashes his car and needs a job to pay for the damages.
Through all the ridiculousness of burger rivalries, romances, and saucy surprises, these hilarious quotes in Good Burger are bound to make fans smile. In its opening weekend, the film grossed $7.1 million, finishing #5 at the US box office. It was released in the United Kingdom on February 13, 1998, where it only reached #14. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was commercially successful, grossing $23.7 million against a budget of $8.5 million.
It's probably the most iconic quote in the whole movie. When people think ofGood Burger, this is what they think of. When Mondo Burger owner/manager Kurt Bozwell sends attractive Roxanne over to Good Burger to try and get the recipe for their secret sauce, Ed doesn't take the bate. That's when Dexter, who is a bit more practical than Ed (which really isn't saying much) drops the line. Moments before, the duo has to drive erratically past a bunch of kids who just want nothing more than to buy some ice cream, but to no avail.

On March 5, 2018, Mitchell said there were talks on a Good Burger 2 in the moment. On December 13, 2018, he and Thompson stated they are open for a potential sequel or reboot.
